I've come back!
No, No No, I have not disappeared off the face of the earth I just.... well.... kind of.... forgot about blogging. I know, gasp! Truth be told I was stretching myself thin and didn't have the time to blog.
There is allot I could write about , but the focus, I think is lent. We are well into the season and
I' ve had the opportunity to do a few things that helped me advance in my personal life. One of these things that I've taken up is the 40 Days for Life, a pro life coalition that includes a 24 hour vigil in front of an abortion mill, Planned Parent Hood or a Hospital that supports or performs abortions, fasting and a LOT of prayer for the conversion of abortionist and those that support the heinous act , the parents of the unborn child and most importantly the unborn child. If you are looking for a way to offer your self during this lent the 40 Days for Life is a great way of doing it. You can register (highly recommended) or drop by your local Pro Life center ( if you have one) and sign up there. If you are in the Windsor Ontario area come on over to Met Hospital and be the voice for the countless children that have none.
You can follow the link to sign up here : http:www.40daysforlife.com/blog/

Count your blessings
So I managed to get on my blog after a week or so. Thank God! In case your asking how school is, its going well not great but well. I thank God every time I think of all that He has given me including all of you! So even if I feel brought down by what is happening around me I can always remind my self that I am blessed to be stressed! In all seriousness I do profoundly thank God for everything that was or will be given to me both good and bad, I will love what will be given to me because its is coming from the beloved of my soul and in turn I will be fulfilling His most holy will. Again I beg your prayers and as always I pray for all of you! Just a not of interest I will be posting the reviews I do for the Tiber Swim Team, which means that aside from the usual you will be getting commentary of some good ol'catholic literature.

Time, time, time oh time!
Well September is in full force and so are we students. Since its just been the beginning of the school year we've been taking care of a few 'house cleaning' things but surely next week we'll be in the full swing of things. That being said, I'll be swamped with a lot of things during the month, so please bear with the lack of post for a while. But please visit the numerous catholic blogs out there to get you news and rants. Please keep me in your prayers as do I for you every day.

What do you use every day?
Here is a sample of the prayer books is use every day and no, I do not lug them all around.
From left to right:
Manual of Prayers - This contains every prayer imaginable! This book is really meant for seminarians and priest but it is a keeper for us lay folk too. I love it!
Liturgy of the Hours - This is a must have for all those wanting to bring their prayer life to a whole new level! This is the psalms and readings that the whole Church prays at the same time ( hypothetically speaking) The Pope, your bishop, your priest, deacon, traditional nun ( which I hope is still out there), seminarian, consecrated virgins, third orders and many more of the church hierarchy pray the same thing that you are saying! But please note that not every one has the exact same copy. Some priest and religious decide to pray the post conciliar version of the Divine Office. This is completely fine due to the fact that the Holy Father's motu proprio covers this branch of the liturgy. So the rule of thumb; if you want to pray the office in common make sure to ask what version the community is using. You can acquire this version from Catholic Book Publishing.
Daily Roman Missal - This is a must have for every catholic home! This treasure contains the whole mass in Latin and English ( Novus Ordo Missae) and the mas readings for the whole year including all major feast of the liturgical year. What makes this even more valuable is that this is perpetual meaning that this will last until the good Lord calls you home. This version is printed by Midwest Theological Forum which is a publishing branch of Opus Dei.
The Way by St. Josemaria and the New Testament ( translated from the Vulgate. original confraternity edition) - These are my favorite books to have in my pocket and my bedside. The Way contains inspirational short readings from all the necessities of the spiritual life. The New Testament is the confraternity edition which is still being printed! This contains a reading from the New Testament for every day of the year with a two year cycle. So in about a year or so you would have read the whole New Testament! This is a translation from the Vulgate meaning you know it is the closest to the original used in the early days of the church. Both of these can be ordered from Midwest Theological Forum
Stations of the Cross by St. Josemaria. Words can not describe the power written in this book by St. Josemaria!
I never leave the house without these three items! My L.O.T.H, my rosary and The New Testament.

Been a while........I know!
Any ways I know it's been a while since I've posted but for good reason. I've been up and around Ontario visiting family, friends and getting some time for my self. Which was MOST needed. With the new assignments for priest finally completed St. Theresa and St. Vincent have gotten ourselves acquainted with our new pastor. Fr. Andy comes to us from Thames ville which is quite a drive from Windsor. Not that much has happened to me over the past month or so, but allot has happened around the world and the Church. I advise you all to read one or more of the many Catholic news agencies that provide a look into the happenings, if you will, of the Church, the world, and your faith community.
