Christmas!

Well blog readers I hope that all of you are having a great and blessed Christmas break. As for me I am having fun in my living room doing the finishing touches on the whole shebang. Thank God that Christmas is not at our place this year, if it was we all would be squished together liked sardines. My cousins a few streets from our house will be hosting it this year so I am looking forward to our huge family dinner at their place.
Besides all the cooking and gift wrapping and not to mention the long choir practices, which by the way are always fun, we loose sight of the true meaning of Christmas, ya i know this is what all of them say, but to tell you the truth we really just don't listen to them. Every year we line up at Wall-mart or Zellers or some other supper store just to by that perfect gift for others or ourselves we don't even think if the recipient of the gift will even like it. During the last few weeks of advent I' ve been thinking why I didn't spend more time reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas. I myself have been caught up in the whole nostalgia of it all.
It really hit me at choir practice yesterday night when we sang this verse " Did you know it was love that was sent from above to the earth ?". It felt like the whole Christmas story was just made for me at that moment , I now know it was "Love" that was sent form above to me and all of you.
From my family to yours Merry Christmas and a blessed and prosperous New Year!
Yours in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary , James Mallare
